Assessing Microbial Decontamination Strategies
We work with manufacturers to develop safer and sustainable technologies as well as test protocols for environmental decontamination. Several national and international methods for testing disinfectants and hand hygiene agents are based on methods developed my personnel associated with CREM Co Labs.
ASTM International’s quantitative test methods to assess environmental surface disinfectants and hand hygiene agents are based on the methodologies originally developed by personnel associated with CREM Co. Among those, the protocols to test hard surface disinfectants are soon anticipated to become standards of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) for use in its 30+ member countries around the world.

Our Goal
Building on the rich history of the Centre for Research on Environmental Microbiology, CREM Co will continue to focus on the assessment, development and promotion of innovative and sustainable strategies for environmental control of harmful microbes for a safer tomorrow. CREM Co’s expertise also includes engineering microbes to enhance their beneficial attributes.
