CREM Co Labs has recently established a standardized protocol to produce dry #biofilms. Such a protocol will make it possible to assess different technologies/ #disinfectants against dry biofilms quantitively.
On a related issue, CREM Co Labs recently published a novel and field-relevant method to test disinfecting #wipes and #sprays incorporating wiping action (QCT3 method). QCT3 method with dry biofilm protocol would offer a unique set up to assess technologies for dry biofilm decontamination and their transfer to the cleaning surfaces. Findings of such a study can also shed light on cleaning processes used in healthcare settings and help them improve their cleaning processes using the right disinfectants.
